Northern Adventures Scenic Flights, Bar Harbor Whale Watch Co. and The Wentworth have come together to offer this teriffic package for our guests.
This exciting package begins with a flight out of Fryeburg airport at 9:00AM - estimate leaving The Wentworth by 7:30AM (we will have breakfast ready to-go for you). The one hour flight will take you over mountains, lakes, bays, islands and over Acadia National Park to arrive at Bar Harbor Airport at 10:00AM.
Once in Bar Harbor you will have free time until 12:30PM so spend your afternoon shopping, sightseeing or having lunch in one of the waterfront cafes.
At 12:30PM you will board the ship "Atlanticat" to embark on a four hour whale watching adventure, perhaps one of the most exciting activities you may ever experience. Your destination is 20 miles south of Bar Harbor - the feeding ground of the larger whales. Along the way you may see harbor porpoise, seals and a great variety of pelagic seabirds. Offshore you will search for pods of pilot whales and atlantic white-sided dolphins, sharks and schools of bluefin tuna.
After your day at sea you will be transported back to the airport for your return flight back to The Wentworth.
